The Juilliard Orchestra, conducted by David Robertson, performs Reena Esmail’s “RE|Member.” Esmail originally planned this overture to be premiered at the beginning of the Seattle Symphony’s 2020-21 season, but the premiere was pushed back by a year due to the pandemic. Esmail saw this piece as a tribute to the diverse experiences people had during the pandemic’s isolation.
