This program turns the spotlight on one of today’s most sought-after composers, Juilliard alum Reena Esmail (BM ’05, composition), whose work bridges Hindustani musical traditions and American contemporary classical music. Featuring five of Esmail’s compositions, this concert is a rare opportunity to hear music that combines Indian classical idioms in dialogue with Western performance techniques.
